Glock Gen 6 Leak and FN Teases Two New Releases

Glock Gen 6 Leak

A new image of what appears to be the Glock Gen 6 has surfaced on Reddit and Twitter. The picture is grainy, but there are clear differences from the Gen 5 lineup. The grip texture looks updated, the magwell seems slightly enlarged, and the trigger looks like it has a new angle similar to the P320 and P365. There is also something that looks like a built in gas pedal on the frame.

There is a chance Glock is moving toward a modular chassis system since more companies are doing it and patents have been floating around for years. The timing also lines up since Shot Show is next month and the Gen 5 launched back in 2017. Glock usually moves in 7 to 10 year cycles, so all signs point to something new coming soon.

FN Teases Two New Products

FN officially teased that they will be dropping two brand new products. One is listed as a tactical rifle and the other is a personal defense pistol. Based on the images and the parts that were redacted, many people believe the rifle could be a new SCAR variant. The silhouette of the magazine and the iron sight shapes match what we usually see on the SCAR platform.

The pistol is harder to identify. The extended magazine and the sight profile remind a lot of people of the FN 510 and 545, so it will be interesting to see what FN does differently. Some also think FN could be working on something built off the FN individual weapon system, but the caliber and timing make that less likely.

Either way, FN is clearly gearing up for a major reveal and both drops look like they will shake things up.
